HISTORY
Our first meeting as Lake Cooley Baptist church was in a Duncan, SC home under a diffferent name (Friendly Chapel Baptist) in August of 1980. The Lord moved us into a storefront building there in Duncan soon after and by 1983, our current property at Little Mountain and Ballenger Road was purchased. It was in November, 1985 that we held our first service in what is now called our Fellowship Hall. Lake Cooley Baptist sits on approximately 8 acres with two buildings, the latest of which is a 255 seat worship center and education facility which was completed and dedicated to our Lord in January of 2000. We currently hold two services on Sunday with many adaptations for our children and have something for every member of the family on Wednesday nights. Not only has this church been the recipient of God's blessing; it has also been a blessing to many in the community through its food pantry and clothes closets. The Lord has developed with in us many relationships together to help us to encourage each other and to grow this community under the loving and faithful leadership of the Holy Spirit. May God continue to grow us together as He grows us to be His Church, His Bride, and His servants!
